17th LAWASIA International Moot Competition – International Rounds
We are delighted to inform you that LAWASIA will be organising International Rounds for the 17th LAWASIA International Moot Competition once again!
This year’s International Rounds will be held on Friday, 18th November 2022 to Monday, 21st November 2022. This year’s LAWASIA International Moot Competition – International RoundS will take place physically in Sydney, Australia!
The objective of LAWASIA is to train aspiring young lawyers to be adaptive and versatile in researching the law when they are presented with challenging legal issues as we believe that teaching law students the ability to face challenges and having strong tenacity are important aspects to their training as young lawyers.
“Winning is not final and losing is never fatal,” Sir Winston Churchill eloquently expresses his thoughts and perspectives of winning and losing in those simple yet, profound words. We believe that all participating students will leave the competition as winners – enriched by the experience, prepared for what is to come and inspired to reach out to the stars; for it is not failure itself that destroys mankind but the inability to accept defeat with grace, strength of character and the lack of moral fibre that causes the collapse of civilisations.
It is with those thoughts in mind that LAWASIA extends this invitation to you to join this endeavour by sending your best teams to participate in the International Round of the 17th LAWASIA International Moot Competition. We look forward to your participation!
On our 17th edition, the LAWASIA International Moot Competition continues to bring into the curriculum of law schools throughout the world and to serve as a platform for friendships to be forged. It has indeed been an enjoyable journey. Over 1,100 students have taken part in the LAWASIA International Moots and our alumni come from approximately 60 law schools from 30 different jurisdictions. In this year’s moot competition, students will be faced with a challenging problem involving tax issues.
We hope to see you all in Sydney, Australia this year!
