19th LAWASIA International Moot Competition – International Rounds

We are delighted to inform you that the LAWASIA International Moot Secretariat will be organising International Rounds for the 19th LAWASIA International Moot Competition once again!

Mark your calendars for this year’s International Rounds, taking place from Saturday, October 12th, 2024, to Tuesday, October 15th, 2024. The excitement is building as this year’s LAWASIA International Moot Competition – International Rounds will unfold in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

LAWASIA aims to equip aspiring young lawyers with the adaptability and versatility needed to navigate challenging legal issues. We believe that instilling the ability to face challenges and fostering strong tenacity are crucial aspects of training future lawyers.

As Sir Winston Churchill aptly put it, “Winning is not final and losing is never fatal.” These wise words underscore our belief that all participating students emerge from the competition as winners – enriched by the experience, prepared for future challenges, and inspired to reach for the stars. We believe that all participating students will leave the competition as winners – enriched by the experience, prepared for what is to come and inspired to reach out to the stars; for it is not failure itself that destroys mankind but the inability to accept defeat with grace, strength of character and the lack of moral fibre that causes the collapse of civilisations.

With these principles in mind, the LAWASIA International Moot Secretariat invites you to join us in this endeavor by sending your best teams to participate in the International Round of the 19th LAWASIA International Moot Competition. We eagerly anticipate your involvement!

In our 19th edition, the LAWASIA International Moot Competition continues to integrate mooting into law school curricula globally and serves as a platform for forging lasting friendships. It has been an enjoyable journey, with over 1,500 students participating in the LAWASIA International Moots. Our alumni hail from approximately 60 law schools across 30 different jurisdictions. In this year’s moot competition, students will face a challenging problem, providing a unique opportunity for intellectual growth and collaboration.”

We hope to see you all in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this year!
